Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening

This program provides for early detection, screening and referral services for breast and cervical cancers. This program is offered to uninsured or underinsured (Insurance doesn’t cover these services) women with low or no income. (Income at or below 200% of federal poverty level) This program covers clinical breast exams, pelvic exams, and pap tests. It also covers some other screening tests and exams that the medical provider may order for screening, diagnosis and treatment of breast and cervical cancers. Call for further information. This service is offered free of charge.


Screening Includes:

  • Registered Nurse provides screening
  • Referrals for mammograms as appropriate
  • Pap tests and pelvic exams for women age 25 and older, tubal, post-menopausal
  • Breast exams by a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner
  • Colposcopy (follow-up abnormal pap)
  • Health education on signs and symptoms of breast and cervical issues.


Transportation for Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment:

  • Provides funding for mileage to obtain treatment for breast and cervical cancer.


Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment:

  • Referral of uninsured for payment of breast and cervical cancer treatments.
